To satisfy the widest possible range of on-vehicle and industrial fuel or water tanks, the sensor is offered with three distinct electrical interfaces:


• Resistive output – a rugged thick-film potentiometric divider (common 0–190 Ω, 240–33 Ω or user-defined) that plugs straight into legacy dash gauges, hour meters or PLCs.


• Voltage output – 0.5–4.5 V ratiometric or 0–10 V factory-scaled signal, immune to lead resistance and ready for modern ECUs or remote I/O modules.


• Current output – 4–20 mA two-wire loop, intrinsically safe, capable of driving signals over several hundred metres without loss of accuracy.


Equally important, the mechanical form factor is not limited to the traditional “drop-in from the top” design.

We have developed four complementary mounting families so the sensor can follow the tank, instead of forcing the tank to follow the sensor:


  1. Top-mount (standard) – SAE or DIN flange, single 5-hole or 6-hole pattern, 170 mm or custom stem length.

  2. Side-mount – slender bulkhead elbow that enters through a ¾" NPT or M20 port on the tank wall, ideal for low-profile saddle tanks or generator skids where overhead clearance is restricted.

  3. Bottom-upward – a hermetic cartridge that threads into a ½" BSP or NPT sump bung, letting the float rise inside a stilling tube; perfect for plastic tanks where drilling the lid is impossible.

  4. Lock-nut mount – sanitary tri-clamp or lock-nut that grips a 30 mm smooth bore, enabling removal with one hand in tight engine bays or refrigerated van floors.

Each variant uses the same proven 304 or 316 stem and Buna-N float, so performance, temperature range and chemical compatibility remain unchanged regardless of how or where the sensor enters the tank.
